Buxton Real Estate is opening up a new office in Bendigo as the group reaches 32 offices across the state.

The Announcement:

Buxton Real Estate Group is proud to announce its expansion into the thriving Bendigo property market, with the opening of its newest office, marking a significant milestone as the company continues to grow its presence across Victoria.

Led by a trio of seasoned directors, Matt Leonard, Peter Ladd and Hugh Norris, Buxton Bendigo is poised to make waves in Bendigo’s dynamic real estate scene.

With over 15 years of friendship, their combined expertise and diverse backgrounds ensure a dynamic approach to the business.

Peter Ladd, a certified public accountant, specialises in enterprise resource planning applications and property development, while Hugh Norris, with a franchising and retail background, co-created Remsuite CRM.

Matt Leonard brings over 20 years of specialised experience in both residential and commercial real estate to the team.

With deep roots in Bendigo, his insights enrich their understanding of the local property market, reflecting his dedication to serving the community.

Principal of Buxton Bendigo, Matt Leonard said they were absolutely thrilled to introduce Buxton’s renowned services and industry-leading standards to the Bendigo community.

“Bendigo is a vibrant and forward-thinking regional city, with a population of over 120,000, offering diverse employment opportunities and a unique, bustling arts, and culinary scene,” It’s a real privilege to be part of this dynamic community, particularly with Bendigo earning recognition as the best regional town in Australia this month,” Mr Leonard said.

The expansion into Bendigo comes at a pivotal time, with an increasing number of professionals and families relocating to the area post-Covid, drawn by the city’s appeal as a desirable ‘tree-change’ destination.

It is complemented by excellent schools, healthcare facilities, sporting amenities, and diverse cultural offerings.

“Bendigo typically follows the capital growth patterns seen in Geelong and Ballarat,” Mr Leonard said.

“With the City of Greater Bendigo’s population forecast to reach 128,768 by 2024 and grow to 155,175 by 2036, it’s evident that the real estate sector holds significant potential for growth.

“Prices in Bendigo tend to remain stable, with less fluctuation compared to other areas.

“Instead of experiencing sharp declines after a growth cycle, prices here tend to hold steady for longer periods.

“We have identified a gap and opportunity within the real estate sector, with longstanding companies losing market share while new entrants swiftly establish themselves.

“This year will witness continued transformation and shake-ups within the Bendigo real estate industry as we strive to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”

This announcement follows a highly successful year for Buxton, which recorded 4465 property transactions between October and December 2023, reflecting a 20 per cent increase compared to the previous year.

Currently, with a network of moret han 500 real estate professionals and managing a total of 16,000 properties, Buxton is set up for further growth and success in the Bendigo market.

Buxton Real Estate, Chief Executive Officer, Marcus Williams said expansion into other areas of Victoria was firmly on the agenda.

“We’re actively working on strategies and plans to open more offices, aiming to better serve communities throughout the region,” Mr Williams said.

“The synergy with Matt, Hugh, and Peter, as well as the wider Buxton team, was immediate; their dedication to professionalism and delivering outstanding results resonated with us from the start.

“We are delighted about this new partnership and the exciting prospects it brings.

“We look forward to leveraging the team’s experience to enhance our client relationships and drive successful outcomes in the dynamic real estate market.”
