High profile buyer’s agent and Elite Agent cover agent, Simon Cohen, has been named as one of three judges for Seven’s new competition renovation series Dream Home.

Coming to Channel 7 and 7plus later this year, Dream Home will see six pairs of everyday Australians battle it out, room by room, to transform rundown suburban family homes into astounding new dream homes.

The show will be hosted by popular TV personality Dr Chris Brown, with interior designer Rosie Morley and renovation queen Lana Taylor joining Cohen as judges.

According to 7news.com.au, Cohen, the co-founder of Cohen Handler, will use his innate knowledge of Australia’s best dream homes to guide teams through their renovation plans.

“I’m thrilled to be part of Dream Home,” he said.

“The stakes are high in any competition, but when it comes to your own home, the sky’s the limit.

“These renovations will be incredible and absolutely life-changing.”

The winning couple will not only receive the home of their dreams, they will also win a life-changing prize.

Fellow judge, and co-owner of reno business Three Birds Renovations, Lana Taylor will offer contestants her real-life renovating and styling experience honed through popular DIY online courses in more than 110 countries.

She understands the common mistakes rookie renovators make and is excited to steer the Dream Home teams in the right direction.

“Knowledge is power and I think people underestimate just how many decisions they’re going to have to make,” Taylor told 7news.com.au.

The third judge will be Rosie Morley, who is a principal at high-end architectural and design studio, Hassell.

Morley consults on a range of multi-million-dollar projects and has more than 20 years of local and international experience.

“Designing a home is a true responsibility to elevate the everyday life of the homeowner,” she said to 7news.com.au.

“It is about translating the lives of the owners and imbuing this into their environment.”

Dr Chris Brown joined the roster of star Seven talent in July last year.

Seven West Media Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer James Warburton said it was great to have Brown back at the network where he started his career.

“Chris is one of the most popular and recognised people on Australian TV, bringing warmth, intelligence and a great sense of humour to everything he does,” he said.

Dream Home will air on Channel 7 and 7plus later in 2024.
