The Ray White network across New Zealand has spent March walking, swimming and cycling to help raise more than $400,000 for Ronald McDonald House Charities.

During March, more than 400 Ray White members raised more than $100,000 of the total $416,000 during the group’s House to House campaign.

Ray White New Zealand’s corporate team held two “match days” where they matched funds raised by the network, up to $25,000 on each day.

Ray White New Zealand Chief Executive Daniel Coulson said the Ronald McDonald House to House campaign was a meaningful and successful campaign.

“On the second ‘match day’ the target of $25,000 was hit by 12:30 pm, which was a fantastic achievement and we were so happy to support that,” Mr Coulson said.

He said Ronald McDonald House was an organisation that warranted investment.

“We intentionally use the word’ investment’ because it is just that – in families, in recovery and in New Zealand,” he said.

“We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped to achieve this phenomenal fundraising goal for such a wonderful cause.”

The top fundraiser from Ray White New Zealand was the Ray White Canterbury team, who collectively raised a total of $20,050 for RMHC.

Ray White Canterbury Relationships Manager Alice Mackenzie said the Ray White Canterbury group had made a phenomenal fundraising effort.

“Our Ray White Canterbury team consisted of participants from across a selection of our Canterbury offices,” Ms Mackenzie said.

“The team held office walks, in-house competitions, giveaways, and group chats to share motivation.

“Collaborating, encouraging each other, and achieving a collective goal of over $20,000 was something special.

“RMHC has a special place in Cantab’s hearts, so the enthusiasm from Ray White to get behind it is always magical.”

Ray White Leaders Group in Wellington also raised $16,210 in March.

Ray White Leaders Systems and Support Manager Hollie Perkins said it was a cause close to the community’s heart.

“Having a Ronald McDonald House in Wellington makes it a bit of a local issue for us and we were keen to support it as part of our local community,” Ms Perkins said.

“One of our agents in Masterton had a personal experience with RMH, and being something that helps families really resonates with us as well.

“I am really pleased with our result. It was great having a goal as a group and seeing the funds raised growing every day, and the more it grew the more determined we got.

“We are thrilled to be able to fundraise and contribute to such a good cause.”

RMHC CEO Wayne Howett shared his gratitude to everyone involved.

“I want to say a huge thank you to Ray White who were our partners for the campaign, especially for their two matching days which were very successful,” Mr Howett said.

“Collectively we covered more than 420,000km over the month of March, which equates to about 2000 trips for families who have to travel to Ronald McDonald House.

“But it’s more than just the kilometres, it’s the fundraising and reaching out to your networks which has raised funds to support families to the tune of more than 1700 nights of accommodation.”
