Highly regarded, Marshall White Real Estate celebrates 60 years in business as one of Victoria’s leading brands.

The Announcement:

Marshall White Real Estate, one of Victoria’s most esteemed and long-standing real estate agencies, is celebrating its 60th birthday.

Since its inception in 1964 the eponymous business, Marshall White, has been at the forefront of the state’s property market, delivering unparalleled service and expertise to clients across the city’s most prestigious suburbs.

Led by Mr White for its first 30 years, the reins were then passed to John Bongiorno and James Connell, who still sit in the executive and board team, driving the family-owned model on which the company was founded.

Over the past six decades, the agency has played an instrumental role in shaping Victoria’s real estate landscape, consistently setting new standards for excellence and innovation.

Reflecting on the milestone, Marshall White Sales Director John Bongiorno said he was grateful for the agency’s loyal clients and dedicated staff.

“Reaching our 60th anniversary is a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of everyone who has been part of the Marshall White family,” Mr Bongiorno said.

“We’ve worked hard to earn a reputation for excellence and we want to maintain that commitment to all our current and future customers.

“We are incredibly proud of our journey thus far and look forward to continuing to serve the Victorian community for the next 60 years.”

Since its beginnings as one humble office, the Marshall White family has expanded to become a network of 10 privately owned offices across Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula.

The agency has also added a full suite of real estate services, including Sales, Projects, Property Management, Finance and Concierge support.

Other highlights for the business include:

Selling Victoria’s two highest-ever selling properties, both in the same week in 2022

– 29-31 St Georges Road, Toorak, for more than $80 million

– 17 St Georges Road, Toorak, for almost $75 million

• Selling the first ever home in Victoria to exceed $1 million – 20 St Georges Road, Toorak, in 1981.

• Opening its 10th privately owned office in 2023, in Sandringham, extending its personalised local reach Bayside.

Marshall White’s daughter Bronwyn Tricks said the business is still a great source of pride for the family.

“Each time any of us walk past an auction board, a sign, or indeed the Marshall White name emblazoned on the High St offices it brings a smile to our faces,” Ms Tricks said.

“Dad loved the theatrics of the auction stage but above all, he believed in prioritising clients, fostering their friendship and trust, and building genuine relationships.

“He built a solid reputation as a reliable and enthusiastic agent and that perception of the Marshall White company still remains.”

The agency also recently launched its new branding, putting the classic Marshall White castle logo at the forefront of the business’ identity in a nod to the class and elegance that have propelled the agency since its inception.
