As I wrote the original article earlier on Tuesday about a blockbuster report from Politico in which the “left-leaning” site claimed White staffers are terrified — actually, “scared s******s” — to present briefing information to the embattled Joe Biden that he doesn’t like, I wondered if the White House would hit back at the damning report.
It didn’t take long to get my answer. First, my original report.

Here’s a snippet from the first article:
[I]nside the White House, Biden’s growing limitations were becoming apparent long before his meltdown in last week’s debate, with the senior team’s management of the president growing more strictly controlled as his term has gone on. During meetings with aides who are putting together formal briefings they’ll deliver to Biden, some senior officials have at times gone to great lengths to curate the information being presented in an effort to avoid provoking a negative reaction.
“It’s like, ‘You can’t include that, that will set him off,’ or ‘Put that in, he likes that,’” said one senior administration official. “It’s a Rorschach test, not a briefing. Because he is not a pleasant person to be around when he’s being briefed. It’s very difficult, and people are scared shitless of him.”
The official said, “He doesn’t take advice from anyone other than those few top aides, and it becomes a perfect storm because he just gets more and more isolated from their efforts to control it.”
So… needless to say, the White House did hit back against the Politico report, just like it hits back at anything potentially damaging to an 81-year-old man whose cognitive capacity seems to be declining by the hour. White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates pushed back on the Politico report’s claim that staff are afraid of the president — telling Fox News Digital, “That’s simply not who [Biden] is.”
Really, Andrew? Anyone who watches a mere modicum of news clips of your boss in action is well aware of exactly who Joe Biden is.
Bates continued, telling Fox that Biden seeks input from a “wide range of individuals inside and outside the administration.”
These claims are unfair distortions of processes that exist in every administration. In any presidency, there are individuals who would prefer to spend more time with the president and senior officials. [Biden] is proud to have hired the most diverse White House team ever – and is achieving historic results for the American people because of his determination, values, and experience.
Again, standard operation procedure from a White House increasingly terrified that sooner or later, their whole “gaslighting,” “emperor’s new clothes,” “don’t believe you lying eyes” — and ears — nonsense has been just that, from the beginning, and is all going come crashing down.
Meanwhile, Kamala Harris waits in the wings, while Biden and his campaign officials have denied any implication that the president is planning to step aside in his bid for re-election.
