Mason Mount is set to be included in Manchester United’s squad for Sunday’s FA Cup quarter-final with Liverpool.

The England international, 25, has been sidelined with a long-term calf problem and last played for the club in November in the 1-0 Premier League victory over Luton Town.

Mount joined United from Chelsea in a deal worth £60million ($76.7m) in July but has made just 12 appearances for Erik ten Hag’s side.

United confirmed on Tuesday that Mount had returned to training ahead of the game at Old Trafford with Ten Hag revealing on Friday that it was “looking good” for him to be part of the matchday squad after a positive week of training.

Ten Hag’s side are still without defenders Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia as well as striker Anthony Martial due to injuries.

Fellow absentees Harry Maguire, Rasmus Hojlund and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, though, are in line to return against Liverpool.

Following Sunday’s game United’s next two matches after the international break are against Brentford on March 30 and then Mount’s former club Chelsea on April 4.
