So here we are, on the cusp on Manchester United vs Liverpool, one of the most prestigious, fractious and bitterly contested rivalries in English football, and indeed European football history.

The stakes are high. For Liverpool, the chance to finish the day top of the league if they win. For Manchester United, European qualification for next season and the big financial boost that comes with it.
