On Wednesday, Joe Biden made one of the most shameful pledges by a U.S. president in history, telling Israel that he would cut off congressional-appropriated arms shipments if Hamas’ stronghold in Rafah is attacked. It was a disgusting move, abandoning a long-time ally in support of Islamic terrorists.

It also wasn’t the least bit surprising if you’ve paid any attention to who Biden is and what he’s been throughout his career. Enter Liz Cheney, who put out a post whining about the president’s decision.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news for Cheney, but sowed the seeds of this and she’s going to reap the consequences whether she likes it or not. Some of us tried to tell her that her simple-minded obsession was going to cause far more harm than good. We warned her that joining forces with Democrats would lead to disastrous results. She didn’t want to hear it. Instead, she proclaimed anyone who didn’t agree with her was against “democracy.”

Well, she’s getting Biden’s version of “democracy” good and hard right now, and her crying about it just comes off as pathetic. Did she think she could mold the Democratic Party in her image? The more I contemplate the question, the more I think the answer is yes. Cheney truly thought that she was going to be an influential national force who could extract her wants from Biden and his cohorts through her sheer force of will. Given she’s all but irrelevant these days, we can safely say that plan didn’t work out too well.

Anyone with a brain could see that she was going to be cast aside the moment she was no longer beneficial to the left. Cheney exemplifies the phrase “useful idiot.” She happily became a pawn for a political party intent on the destruction of everything she claims to care about, and now she wants to scream about the results?

Even still, you’ll notice she doesn’t use Biden’s name in her post, no doubt scared she might indirectly help Donald Trump in some form or fashion. Someone like Cheney is going to go down with the ship. She’ll flail about as it’s sinking, suggesting the captain made mistakes, but those mistakes will have been enabled by her own actions.

If Cheney truly cared about Israel, she would have thought about the repercussions of propping up a political party that has long sought its demise. She didn’t do that, though, instead choosing personal grievance over practical policy outcomes. Those chickens have come home to roost.

This is what you wanted, Liz. You bought the ticket. Now, take the ride.
