Joe Biden got a lot of people talking after the wild story he told on Wednesday, multiple times, suggesting his uncle had been eaten by cannibals and telling a bunch of other falsehoods as well.
We saw the horrible take from the AP trying to downplay how unhinged the story was, claiming he “misstated” things and was “off on the details.” No, AP, that’s what you call lying. We all know that had it been former President Donald Trump, the news agency likely wouldn’t have used that terminology and all of the media would be going all-in to say how crazy that was. The AP proved again why we despise the liberal media; they just can’t seem to stop the bootlicking for the Democrats.

But you know the take you needed to hear was how White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was going to try to justify this. Would she deflect and say that it needed to be answered by some other department of the Biden administration, her most common form of avoiding a question?
No, she actually tried to answer it. It’s just that the answer was laughable. First they asked her if there’s a “cannibal” tab in her briefing book from which she can come up with an answer for Biden’s unhinged comments.

Jean-Pierre responded that Joe Biden was “incredibly proud” of his uncle’s service during World War II.
Look, you saw the President. He was incredibly proud of his uncle’s service in uniform. You saw him at the war memorial. It was incredibly emotional and important to him.
You saw him respond to all of you when asked about the moment, yesterday, and his uncle who lost his life when the military aircraft he was on crashed in the Pacific after taking off near in New Guinea. The President highlighted his uncle’s story as he made the case for honoring our sacred commitment to — to equip those we send to war and to take care of them and their families when they come home.
And as he reiterated that the last thing American veterans are are “suckers” or “losers,” and he wanted to make that clear. He wanted to make —
Then, a reporter interrupted that spew, “by embellishing the story?” Translation: lying?
“I don’t have anything beyond — but what I just laid out,” she stammered.
“But it was a really proud moment for him. It was incredibly emotional…And we cannot also forget what it means to be a commander-in-chief, what it means to lift up our service members, what it means to make sure that we respect their service. And he made that contrast very clear as to what we saw from the former — former President.
By lying about both his uncle and former President Donald Trump? How does that serve to lift anyone up? His uncle served honorably, but Biden had to make him something other than he was, calling him a pilot rather than a member of the ground crew who was a passenger. How does it “lift him up” to suggest he was eaten by cannibals?
Does being “incredibly proud” give you a license to lie about things? So if you’re “proud,” it’s cool — you can tell the American people things that aren’t true and spread any phony story. That’s what she’s saying here. Our White House doesn’t think they have any obligation to tell you the truth. But they sure are proud!
