Heston Marino will lead McGrath’s new Toowoomba office, with the team aiming to capitalise on the rapidly growing South East Queensland property market.

The Announcement:

McGrath Estate Agents shows continued confidence in the South East Queensland property market with a new office in Toowoomba, Australia’s second-largest inland city, just 90 minutes from Brisbane.

Chris Mourd, Head of Franchise Network for McGrath, said they have partnered with highly energetic operators with new representation in an important market where they see great value and opportunity as the gateway to rural Queensland.

“The investment in infrastructure in the Toowoomba region is highly impressive, as is the focus on the enhancement of retail and lifestyle precincts, all of which are extremely attractive to its growing population and cross-border migration,” Mr Mourd said.

“In recent years, the development of the Toowoomba Wellcamp Airport, the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing and $1.3 billion Toowoomba Hospital are examples of excellent planning and facilities to help facilitate and service a growing population who have flocked to the ‘Garden City’.”

Respected local real estate professional Heston Marino will be Principal and be joined by a team of five, to cover property sales and property management.

McGrath Toowoomba will service the area from Highfield in the north, to Middle Range in the south, to Redwood in the East and to Glenvale in the west.

Key suburbs will be East Toowoomba, Mount Lofty, Rangeville and Middle Ridge.

Mr Marino has had some strong sales results in the past year that include:

• 19 Edward Street, East Toowoomba – $920,000 (3 bedroom, 2 bathroom on 592m2)

• 118/122 Flagstone Creek Road, Middle Ridge – $1.25 million (4 bedroom, 2 bathroom on 9,754m2)

Mr Marino has lived in Toowoomba for more than 10 years.

“I feel that I know this city well and love its character homes, distinctive properties and how it is coming of age, but at the same time respecting its heritage,” Mr Marino said.

Toowoomba has a diverse housing market and offers a variety of options, from traditional Queenslanders to modern homes and apartments.

“With more than 50 primary and secondary schools, and bustling campuses for TAFE QLD and University of Southern Queensland, it has a changing demographic, attracting families to the area for its lifestyle, cultural events and livability,” Mr Marino said.

McGrath Toowoomba will be located at 203 Margaret Street, Toowoomba.
