The Los Angeles Galaxy said assistant coach Nick Theslof will resume his duties on the bench versus St. Louis City SC on Saturday after the club conducted an internal investigation following Theslof’s arrest on March 9.

Theslof was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication in Nashville. Two days later, Theslof’s case was closed and Davidson County (Tenn.) court records showed he would not be charged following his arrest.

“The charges against Assistant Coach Nick Theslof have been dismissed by the Davidson County Court and the Nashville Police Department has closed the case. We have also completed an internal investigation and look forward to having Nick on the bench tonight against St. Louis City SC,” the Galaxy said in a statement. “Out of respect for Nick and his family, we will not comment further on the incident.”

Theslof and the Galaxy were in Nashville to play Nashville SC at Geodis Park on March 10. MLS’ lineup from the game listed Theslof as a coach for Los Angeles’ sideline for the 2-2 draw.

Galaxy general manager Will Kuntz said in a statement Monday that the club was made aware of Theslof’s arrest earlier that morning.

“The club is still gathering facts and reviewing the matter,” Kuntz said. “We will have no further comment at this time.”

Theslof has worked for the Galaxy since 2021 when he followed coach Greg Vanney to Los Angeles. Theslof first joined Vanney’s staff at Toronto FC in 2014.
