Brighton & Hove Albion have confirmed an agreement has been reached with Nordsjaelland for the signing of winger Ibrahim Osman.

The Athletic reported on Wednesday Brighton had managed to strike a deal for the coveted 19-year-old, who was being pursued by a host of clubs.

Osman will join the club when the summer transfer window opens on a contract until 2029.

Brighton technical director David Weir said: “We’re looking forward to the opportunity of working with Ibrahim.

“He’s a young and exciting prospect, but for now it’s important that we give him the space to focus fully on Nordsjaelland, where he is enjoying a good season.

“Once the current season is over and he’s had the opportunity to rest during the summer, we will bring him into our environment where he will get the time and support he needs to settle here in England.”

Osman has made 27 appearances for Nordsjaelland, having made his first-team debut last season, scoring two goals.

The Ghanian joined Nordsjaelland from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana and made his senior debut for the Danish club in February 2023.

Osman follows the same path as Brighton’s Ivorian forward Simon Adingra, who joined the south coast club having started his career at the Right to Dream Academy before moving to Nordsjaelland.

Brighton completed the signing of Argentine left-back Valentin Barco from Boca Juniors and winger Adrian Mazilu from Romanian side FCV Varul in the January transfer window.
