The Barry Plant Group has launched a new-look website and intranet network as the group transforms its business and strategy to embrace the latest in technology, leadership and marketing.

Barry Plant Group Chief Technology Officer, Darren McCoy, said the website launch coincided with the agency’s recent rebrand, which introduced a crisp fresh look that combined its roots with innovation and trendsetting.

“The new website is mobile friendly with added features that will help our clients and users, and it also includes market data, ratings and reviews,” Mr McCoy said.

“The new intranet will work as a social platform for our franchise directors and agents, also making more content available to our large network of agents and property managers – with the rare added bonus of a ‘native app’, allowing it to operate in a similar vein to other known social media platforms.”

”Both tech initiatives have really showcased the incredible collaboration we have internally at Barry Plant between our marketing and technology teams, which we affectionately call our ‘martech’.

“As we continue to optimise our tech stack, we are focused on really getting ahead of the tech wave, incorporating other AI tools that focus on customer engagement.”

The launch took place at the recent Kickstart Conference in Melbourne, which brought together the Barry Plant network of agents and professionals to hear and interact with a host of high profile speakers, including seven-time world surfing champion Layne Beachley, AO, who spoke about achieving sustained success.

Beyond the world titles, beach lifestyle, celebrity status and rockstar husband, Beachley’s story is one of overcoming significant obstacles in and out of the water, including Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, depression and family loss.

Another speaker was John Foong, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Director (Agent Experience) at Domain.

In 2023, he was ranked #10 in Elite Agent’s Top 50 Influencers list.

His focus was on helping agents build sustainable and effective businesses by offering a set of connected solutions to supercharge agents’ workflow to complete tasks in half the time.

Spiro Drossos, Managing Director of Barry Plant Eastern Group, spoke about being the best you can be.

Other speakers included Adrian Cosman-Jones of Onsite Helper, Barry Plant Head of Marketing Monika Kamienowska, and Barry Plant Digital and Associates Manager Emma Smith.

Barry Plant Chief Executive Officer Lisa Pennell said while the Barry Plant Group had already experienced significant market share growth in 2023, this year would be a true reflection of the significant work being done behind the scenes.

“Our agents are wholeheartedly embracing the transformation the Barry Plant Group is undergoing and that’s the dynamic that will keep us at the forefront of the industry,” Ms Penell said.

“We really have only just started.”
