Appalachian State offensive lineman Jack Murphy has died, coach Shawn Clark announced Monday.
No cause of death or further details were given by the school. A school spokesperson told ESPN that Murphy died on Friday.

App State finished spring practice in March.
Murphy, who was set to be a fifth-year redshirt junior this coming fall, was a third-team All-Sun Belt selection and started all 14 games at offensive tackle. The Fairfax, Va. native previously played three years at Marshall from 2020 to β22.
