Are you tired of winning yet? The latest win is restoring some semblance of sanity to the nation’s schools, as the Title IX rules put in place by President Joe Biden (remember him?) allowing boys to invade girls’ sports, facilities, and locker rooms, has been rescinded by the Trump administration.
Following a legal decision earlier in January striking the Biden-era reinterpretation of Title IX, a “Dear Colleague” memo has been sent out by the Department of Education (ED) making it official: Title IX has now been returned to its previous definition of sex as male and female:

At long last, the National nightmare of Biden’s Title IX rewrite – & a loss of equality for female students everywhere – comes to an end.
Today, Trump’s Dept of Education has released a “dear colleague” letter to every school in the country, stating that the social experiment of “trans inclusive” facilities, sports, bathrooms, & scholarships is done. “Sex” under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is back to being interpreted as male & female, as it always was.
The Department relies on a recent federal court ruling vacating the rule & indicating that the rewrite violated civil rights, administrative, & constitutional law.
Any school, recipient, college that doesn’t comply with the directive could lose federal funding.
Sanity has returned.
The ED also put out an official press release with more details on the move:
The department will return to enforcing Title IX protections on the basis of biological sex in schools and on campuses. Returning to the 2020 Title IX Rule also ends a serious threat to campus free speech and ensures much stronger due process protections for students during Title IX proceedings.
“The Biden Administration’s failed attempt to rewrite Title IX was an unlawful abuse of regulatory power and an egregious slight to women and girls. Under the Trump Administration, the Education Department will champion equal opportunity for all Americans, including women and girls, by protecting their right to safe and separate facilities and activities in schools, colleges, and universities,” said Acting Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights Craig Trainor.
This is precisely the way these issues should be dealt with. The obvious problems with boys and girls sharing locker rooms, showers, and other facilities aside – and those are problems enough and then some, with the Biden administration’s hare-brained interpretation of Title IX – just the issue of allowing boys to compete on girls’ sports teams by claiming to “identify” as a girl is a practice so hideously unfair, so bereft of any sense, so divorced from reason, as to make it worth the ED’s actions all on its own.
As I’ve written many times in these virtual pages, unlike a certain Supreme Court justice, I actually am a biologist. Boys, even before puberty, have heavier bones, denser muscle tissue, and more of it, larger lung capacity, all along with greater strength, speed, and stamina that go with those things. These are facts. Biology is a harsh mistress and cannot be denied.
Local schools that depend on federal funding and have been allowing this practice now have a choice: To use only a student’s sex determined at conception as the deciding factor as to which sports team they play on – and which locker rooms and showers they use – or to forgo that federal funding. This will return sports, as well as the use of locker rooms, back to a more sane standard – one in which boys are boys and girls, girls.
