Attention Cormac McCarthy superfans: A selection of works and personal items from the writer’s life are currently up for auction at Bonhams. The collection, which comes directly from McCarthy’s second wife Annie DeLisle, includes an antique cherrywood library desk that McCarthy salvaged, restored by hand, and then used to write Child of God and Suttree, which could definitely bring some good writing vibes to your home office:

Perhaps you’d like to use it whilst wearing McCarthy’s Air Force uniform shirt? (Light wear, scattered staining.) That definitely would not be creepy:

The pockets are roomy enough to fit McCarthy’s chic travel clock (which could also be used at home, on your new desk):

Also on offer are a selection of photographs of McCarthy and DeLisle, a collection of the author’s first editions, as well as copies inscribed to DeLisle, and a portrait of McCarthy inscribed to his in-laws. But bid quick! The auction ends on April 10.
