In a must-win scenario after the crushing loss, the Liberty responded with a decisive 80-66 win at home in Game 2. The game was close throughout but New York pulled away in the fourth quarter, setting up a pivotal Game 3 in Minnesota.

New York put forth a well-rounded performance, with four of their starters scoring at least 14 points. Stewart bounced back from her struggles down the stretch of Game 1 with 21 points, eight rebounds, five assists and seven steals. Betnijah Laney-Hamilton added 20 points, shooting 4 of 6 from deep.

The Lynx were led by 16 points from Napheesa Collier, who also has 8 rebounds and four steals. Courtney Williams carried over her strong play from Game 1, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and eight assists.
