Hollywood actor Will Ferrell is in attendance for Leeds United’s Championship clash against Burnley.

Ferrell, 57, was pictured at Elland Road on Saturday.

He bought a minority stake in Leeds in May, with the club’s general partners — from 49ers Enterprises — still in day-to-day control.

Leeds owners, 49ers Enterprises, have a number of high-profile minority stakeholders including actor Russell Crowe, Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and Major golf champion Jordan Spieth.

49ers Enterprises completed their full takeover of Leeds in July 2023, having previously held a 44 per cent stake in the club.

A day with Will Ferrell in Wrexham (yes, you read that correctly)

Ferrell, already a part-owner of MLS side Los Angeles FC, is among the growing number of celebrities who have ventured into football club ownership in recent years.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have seen remarkable success with Wrexham, while JJ Watt and his wife Kealia invested in Burnley last May. Fellow NFL legend Tom Brady joined the ownership group at Birmingham City last August.

Leeds go into their match against Burnley fifth in the Championship table, having won two and drawn twice in their opening four fixtures of the 2024-25 campaign. Burnley, meanwhile, are seventh.
