One of the wildest scenes to play out on the House floor in American history happened during the first few moments of President Donald Trump’s congressional address on Tuesday night, which is ongoing as I write this. Barely a paragraph into his speech, the president was interrupted by shouts and moans after he stated that he had won the popular vote during the 2024 presidential election. That recognition of reality was apparently a bridge too far for Democrats.

Things escalated quickly from there, with multiple members continuing to scream at Trump even as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) tried to bring order with the gavel. Rep. Al Green (D-TX) could be heard shouting, “You have no mandate,” as he shook his cane at the president. That’s when Johnson warned that the House Seargent at Arms would come and remove members who didn’t abide by the rules. Green kept going, leading Vice President JD Vance to stand up and motion for the Democrat to be removed.

Here’s how things played out, with Green being removed from the chamber, something I’m pretty sure has never happened before.

I’ll have more to say on how Democrats behaved during the address when the speech is over, but as a preview, I can only assume these are the dumbest people on earth. They could not have handed Trump a bigger political gift than what they did to start the night. Do they really think Americans look at this idiocy and think highly of it? On the contrary, it serves to elevate Trump and diminishes the Democratic Party as a complete joke.

But hey, I say keep it up. Keep embarrassing yourselves. Keep showing Americans you are complete lunatics. At this point, I can only assume Democrats don’t want to ever win again.
