No, your eyes do not deceive you, that was Bachelor alum Kelley Flanagan in Netflix’s Polo.
During the second episode of the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle-produced series, Kelley, 32, made an appearance at her sister Pamela Devaleix’s baby shower. (Pamela is married to polo star Louis Devaleix, who is one of the athletes featured on the series.) In fact, she planned the whole thing and stole the show in the best way possible.
“My sister has planned everything. She’s done a beautiful job,” Pamela told viewers in the episode, which started streaming on Tuesday, December 10. “In 2020, Kelley was a participant in a show called The Bachelor.”
Pamela married Louist in June 2023 and announced in January that they were expecting a baby girl. Their daughter, Alina Kelley, was born this past July.
“Louis and I, we love the name Alina, and her middle name is Kelley after my amazing sister,” Pamela said.
During the baby shower, Kelley told cameras that her goal was to make sure that Pamela “was not stressed” during the party. “It’s about her today, so I just want to make sure that we keep her calm.”
Kelley jumped into problem solving mode during the baby shower when the air conditioning in the venue went out. Portable units were brought in and things got back on track — with Kelley even moderating a baby shower game between Pamela and Louis.
“Kelley is a great example where I think the people that we featured … these are people who, they had a lot to share and they were willing to share it,” Polo showrunner Miloš Balać exclusively told Us Weekly. “Kelley was so amazing to work with. Pam was so amazing to work with. I’m just so grateful. These people care so much about their families, and they care so much about polo. [It] sort of becomes one and the same.”
Kelley’s sister Pamela is a polo player as well as a lawyer. She stepped back from playing while she was pregnant with her daughter. Pamela does, however, support her husband as he plays in the 2024 U.S. Open, which was filmed for the show. Kelley also appears in some of those scenes.
“Polo feels like one big family,” Balać continued. “If you don’t care about horses, if you don’t care about sports, if you don’t care about polo, you’ll find something else to care about [with this show].”
Polo is now streaming via Netflix.
