So what was Kamala Harris doing while President Donald Trump and others were at the Al Smith dinner in New York City? It’s been a tradition that the two presidential nominees attend the Al Smith dinner for charity for decades.
Harris thinks it’s a “tradition” to do “60 Minutes.” She did that interview that now is embroiled in scandal because they appeared to edit her response to make her look better and are refusing to release the full video or full, unedited transcript.
But she blew off a real tradition with the dinner. She was campaigning in Wisconsin instead, which means she could very well have attended had she planned appropriately. She sent in a cringey taped video instead, with former Saturday Night Live alum Molly Shannon doing most of the work in the video. Then she released a nasty statement after the dinner, attacking Trump and lying about what he said at the dinner. She missed the whole good-natured point of the event, blowing up another norm. This, after she couldn’t even be bothered to show up, took some real nerve.
The people at the dinner loved Trump’s jokes, and even CNN’s Brian Stelter liked them, with CNN noting how Kamala blew off the event. The crowd at the dinner booed Harris for not having the guts to show up.

Despite the Elephant (Not) in the Room
Instead, she was busy lying to the American people in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Among the lies she told was claiming that police officers were “killed” on Jan. 6, as Rebecca Downs at our sister site Town Hall explained.
That’s a complete and utter lie. Officer Brian Sicknick died due to natural causes, i.e., strokes, the following day.
The only person “killed” was Ashli Babbitt, who was killed by a Capitol Police officer despite being unarmed and not attacking him. Kamala further falsely left out that Trump called on people to act peacefully and patriotically.
Harris also had a big gaffe where she said she “stood up to veterans,” which was probably a Freudian slip since the left often has had a problem with the military.
It should be noted while she claims that, neither she nor Biden have spoken with or provided any answers or accountability to the families of the 13 service members who were killed at the Abbey Gate in Kabul during the disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal because of the Biden-Harris incompetence.
It”s not looking good for her in the Green Bay area.
The counties in and around Green Bay — Brown, Outagamie and Winnebago — all went for Trump in 2020 by at least a 4-point margin.
Plus, as we reported, Wisconsin just flipped for Trump in the RCP average.
Now, all seven battleground states have Trump in the lead.
This is doubtless why she’s stepped up the lying about Trump — she’s getting more desperate.

But it’s not helping her. Indeed, the more she’s said, the more she fades in the race.
