It’s been about two seconds since Donald Trump announced Pam Bondi as his pick to replace Matt Gaetz as nominee for Attorney General, and, right on cue, the leftists of MSNBC are in full meltdown mode.
As RedState’s Susie Moore reported Thursday evening, in making his announcement President-elect Trump said of the nomination:
For too long, the partisan Department of Justice has been weaponized against me and other Republicans – Not anymore. Pam will refocus the DOJ to its intended purpose of fighting Crime, and Making America Safe Again. I have known Pam for many years — She is smart and tough, and is an AMERICA FIRST Fighter, who will do a terrific job as Attorney General!
It’s looking like Democrats are running scared at the idea of Pam Bondi at the helm of the Department of Justice, judging by a segment that aired Thursday on MSNBC. One guest, Jason Johnson, a political science professor at Morgan State University, said Bondi is both “competent” and “dangerous.”

Pam Bondi is what we should all fear cuz she’s competent. We may not agree with her ideologically, but she actually knows how to do this job. So, if anyone on the Democratic side or anyone, or anyone who cared about liberty and justice was thinking “Well maybe Matt Gaetz will screw this up and that will give us some time” — well, no.
Pam Bondi knows what she’s doing. She knows what she’s doing about immigration. Remember, Florida has been one of those states that has been very aggressive about migrants and deportation and moving people to different states. And everything else like that. Florida has enacted all sorts of rules and laws to curtail students and what they can do on campuses, and finding legal justifications for manipulating education money.
She is a dangerous and effective pick. And that’s, frankly, worse than what we would have gotten with Matt Gaetz, even with the deplorable moral background he has.
This is some rare honesty going out on MSNBC’s airwaves. Pam Bondi is a blockbuster pick by Trump and it’s clear that Democrats are gobsmacked and rushing to figure out just how to handle a strong woman being nominated for such an important role.
These are just the initial reactions of the left, of course, and you can bet the attacks will get uglier as the confirmation process goes along. You see, Pam Bondi is the kind of woman that drives Democrats batty — she’s smart, she’s pretty, she’s driven, she gets results and she doesn’t suffer fools gladly. And, boy, has the left been acting like fools for a long time now. That’s why they’re running scare right over her nomination.
The question must be asked: What are they so afraid of? If they haven’t done anything wrong or illegal, then there’s really nothing to fear from Pam Bondi. Unlike her Democrat counterparts, she’s not likely to engage in baseless, partisan witch hunts against her opponents. So, what’s behind the fear?
Not that this will cow someone like Pam Bondi, but we’ve all seen what happens when a conservative woman gets a prominent role on the national stage. They trawled through Sarah Palin’s garbage cans when she was a vice presidential candidate, for goodness sake; that’s how low they’ll go.
Republicans need to be prepared to go to battle for Pam Bondi because we know that the left saves their nastiest stuff for the women. Buckle up, friends, this is going to get good.
