It’s been a tough time for Democrats, coping with President-elect Donald Trump’s massive election win.
CNN commentator Scott Jennings summed it up pretty perfectly that a lot of this was due to Joe Biden’s failures and the fact that Democrats hid his cognitive issues. All the Democrats who are saying he shouldn’t have run are the same people who, before the debate, were saying he was as “sharp as a tack,” Jennings said.
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was one of those people, for example.
Jennings said we needed a “full accounting” of who knew what when about Biden’s cognitive decline.

But he said Democrats had no one to blame but themselves for tanking in the election.
Then, on top of it all, not only did they lose, but Biden ran on getting rid of “Trump and Trumpism.” Yet, never has Trump been more ascendant, Jennings concluded. So Biden and the Democrats completely failed in that effort.
CNN host Jessica Dean repeated that to Van Jones, who laughed, asking if she thought he hadn’t heard it from Jennings, and replied, “What do you want me to do? Can I leave?” He had no response aside from that.
Jennings teased him, saying he thanked Barack Obama for giving us Trump before and Joe Biden for giving us Trump again. Again, Jones asked if he could leave.
Dean asked Jones what the Democrats were going to do. And Jones had a very honest answer about how messed up Democrats are over this now.
In between the tears, we gotta let ourselves laugh!!

“Therapy. Therapy. We are all going to therapy,” Jones replied.
Why are we here? If you are a Democrat, all we can say is, we hope that Susie [Wiles, Trump’s new Chief of Staff] decides to take a vacation and they hire some terrible people to make some mistakes to give us a chance.
Right now, they have everything. They’ve got the Supreme Court. They’ve got the electoral college. They’ve got the House, they got — probably they’ve got the Senate. They’ve got popular vote.
And we’re just sitting here with a dunce cap on. This time last week we thought we were the smartest people in the world. We thought Donald Trump was an idiot. We thought his campaign made no sense. And it turned out they were smarter than us and we don’t have anything to say to you.
I could sit here and pretend I know something.
Here’s what I know, everybody I know is miserable. Everybody is on these zoom calls. Nobody’s got any good ideas and it’s going to take us a while to figure this out. [….]
I’m not good at coming here and faking and pretending. No, we got whooped.
Jennings, chuckling, suggested he needed to go to the spa and get a cucumber water.
“And a cookie,” Van answered, ending with a playful frown.
I’ll have to hand it to Jones for his honesty right now. His is one of the few honest assessments of where the Democrats are at, at this point, which is truly lost. They’re all over the place, trying to blame everything and everyone else except themselves.

They wouldn’t be able to resolve it until they start putting the interests/wishes of the American people ahead of their own desire for control and/or the radical leftist agenda.
That isn’t going to happen anytime soon.
