Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is one of the members of Congress who should have left a while ago but doesn’t seem to be able to give up the power.
She’s going to hold onto her seat to the end, which is incredibly ironic, given her involvement in pushing former President Joe Biden to the side and out of the 2024 election. She knew they were going to lose, but then they swapped him out with another horrible candidate in Kamala Harris. So they still went down in flames.
Pelosi was on MSNBC on Thursday with Andrea Mitchell (who just announced that she’s leaving her hosting job).

Mitchell asked her about Joe Biden’s claim that he would have won if he hadn’t been pressured to step aside. That’s when Pelosi stomped on Biden and went all delusional about Democrats winning.

“Well, all I know is we won a seat in the House,” she claimed. “We did not lose any seats. People were like, ‘Oh, the Democrats lost!’ No, we did not.” She said she thought it “would have been quite different” if Biden remained at the top of the ticker, clearly indicating she thought he would have made it worse.
Talk about election denialism. Um, yes, you did lose, in a rout. You only gained a seat, but still didn’t get the House. You lost the Senate and the White House. You even lost the popular vote. And the Democrats have perhaps never been more unpopular if you look at current polling.
Mitchell asked about her wrecked relationship with the Bidens, explaining how Jill Biden said she was “disappointed” in Pelosi.

Pelosi replied that she hoped so, but she hadn’t spoken with them. So much for a 50-year friendship when power and control intervene.
Then she went into that spew about how they’re here for the working families, that her whole “passion” is “for the children.” Does she really think anyone if failing for that?
“I think that it would have been important for the children to not have Donald Trump be President of the United States…I would take every step necessary to make sure that didn’t happen, but it did, and now we have to deal with it.”
But perhaps the most interesting part of that comment was the last part where she spoke about what was going to happen.
“And in about six or seven months, you’re going to see such a change. By the time we start our campaigns in this fall, for next fall, you’re going to see a very different picture about the Democrats vis a vis Donald Trump.”
Hmm, what is she saying here? Is this her revealing some strategy is coming? Does she think Democrats flipping their lids in the streets right now because Trump is cleaning up the government, stopping waste and bad things, is really an effective tack to take?

It may be assuaging the anger of their radical left, but it just confirms to regular Americans how off the rails Democrats have gone.
