Minnesota, what in the world have you unleashed on the rest of the United States?
As if Tim “Knucklehead” Walz’s overzealous Elmer Fudd, twitchy leg routine wasn’t bad enough, we now have to deal with his rather odd, preachy wife. Gwen Walz has previously made headlines for her bizarre reaction to the violent George Floyd protests of 2020 that were allowed to fester by her husband, implying that she enjoyed the smell of St. Paul burning.
“I could smell the burning tires, and that was a very real thing,” Walz said of the BLM protests that swept Minnesota and beyond, including the area near the governor’s home in St. Paul.
“I kept the windows open as long as I could because I felt like that was such a touchstone of what was happening,” she added.
Yikes.
Like her husband, she’s prone to weird gesticulations, such as the time she beclowned herself with her weird “turning the page” hand movements. (It’s even weirder that the crowd to whom she was speaking totally bought into her preschool-teacher-of-nightmares performance, but that’s a story for a different day.)
As RedState’s Nick Arama reported of that strange performance, Walz proceeded to top herself by breaking out into a high school fight song.
What the heck? Too much of the fumes from those burning tires during the riots? Maybe she should have closed the windows. Who are the weird people again? Is she trying to outdo her husband in saying/doing damaging things before the election?
How exactly did the inappropriate Walzes end up in the national spotlight?
The desperation is setting in for Democrats, and they’re getting odder and odder as the vise tightens. Gwen Walz clearly doesn’t want to be out-weirded by her husband, and is amping up the odd. On Sunday, she released a GOTV video that was wrapped in the cloak of a disapproving schoolmarm:

Her voice is dripping in condescension, which is exactly how Democrats treat their voters. And their voters, sadly, seem to love it. It’s as if leftists need someone like Gwen Walz to take them by the hand, lead them to the ballot box, tell them how to vote, then give them a sticker, a cookie and a pat on the head.

Hey, Kamala HQ. And I have been an educator for a really long time, and I’m here with an assignment for you today. It’s due on November 5th — and I’m going to put my teacher glasses on — and this is really serious, like a final, and there’s no late work.
I need you to take yourself and three friends to the ballot box, and make your voice heard. You have to vote, I’m gonna repeat that again. You and three of your friends have to make your voices heard by voting, I believe.

This lady was a teacher? It’s all starting to make sense now.
The question here, of course, is how is this going to bring the voters running? Dems have made a concerted, yet laughable, attempt to court male voters in recent weeks, but real men — and women! — aren’t going to respond to this kind of infantile pablum.
The Democrats have a real mess on their hands, and it’s made worse each day by the likes of Tim and Gwen Walz. Thanks for nothing, Minnesota.
