When you get nailed for lying, when you keep digging a hole for yourself, and the only answer you have to try to get out of it is you’re a knucklehead, you just may have a Tim Walz problem.

Toss in on top of that that you say you are friends with school shooters, and you may just have blown the election.

That was the problem that Tim Walz had after his debate with JD Vance on Tuesday night.

My colleague Sister Toldjah reported on some of the reactions.

One of the most interesting reactions was from CNN. We noted some of what Abby Philip said about how JD Vance landed punches and Tim Walz didn’t seem to come prepared for it.

Then John King said that when it came to the economy and immigration — generally the most important issues in most polls — Vance carried it. Those are the two big issues that present a problem for Kamala Harris, and Vance just decimated her on those.

When CNN is forced to say that, you know how much of a rout it was.

Then Scott Jennings completely finished Walz off.

“It’s pretty clear Vance outclassed Walz tonight,” Jennings said.

“I mean, I was watching this and all I could think of was — man, Walz is so in over his head. I mean, can you imagine this guy sitting in the White House Situation Room with that facial expression that’s like 50% sheer terror and 50% extreme bafflement? I mean, it was amazing the split-screen difference between a competent Vance and a totally in over his head, Walz.

The answer on why he lied about his trips to China and the Tiananmen Square thing was probably the worst VP debate meltdown since Stockdale in ’92, you know, ‘who am I and why am I here?’ It was two-and-a-half minutes of absolute terrible.

That was this response, the “knucklehead” response, where he also ended up still saying he had been in Hong Kong and China during the “democracy protests,” which wasn’t true. What a mess this was, including his “service” riding his bicycle.

None of that answered why he lied about it. Why would anyone hire someone who is this confused?

Jennings pointed out the media “charade” as to both Vance and Walz,

“That charade is now over. That charade is now over. Walz does not belong at this level of American politics. Vance does. Final verdict? Tim Walz wandered into the wrong bar tonight.”
