Dramatic new video has been released by the National Transportation Safety Board showing the stunning amount of damage caused when the cargo ship Dali crashed into Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore Tuesday, causing significant sections of the crucial traffic artery to collapse.

Using a drone, officials shot from above the vessel and were also able to get a look at the bow, which is too unstable for workers to access physically.

Officials also released footage of them on board the Dali surveying the damage to the ship and launching the drone used for the other clips. You can see the NTSB investigators viewing the collapsed bridge from different angles from the cargo ship.

The clips reveal the enormity of the damage not just to the bridge but to the ship itself. It will take a tremendous effort just to untangle the Dali from wreckage. The ship is around the size of the Eiffel Tower and two-thirds the size of the Empire State Building.

Analysts at Barclay’s Bank estimate the repair costs to the bridge may be as high as $3 billion.

Two bodies were recovered on Wednesday; they were identified as Alejandro Hernandez Fuentes from Mexico and Dorlian Ronial Castillo Cabrera from Guatemala.

Dive and recovery operations have been halted Thursday because the submerged wreckage and debris are creating hazardous conditions.

Speaking at a news conference ahead of the Orioles’ home opener at Camden Yards, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore said the city is facing a long road to recovery:

He [Moore] said leaders from multiple local, state and federal authorities are gathering funds to rebuild the bridge.

“This work is not going to take hours, this work is not going to take days, this work is not going to take weeks; we have a very long road ahead of us,” he said.
