There was some great news out of Missouri on Tuesday night as primary voters showed the execrable Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) to the curb to join her Squad brother, Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) who also lost his primary. The Congress is going to be immeasurably better with both of these characters out.

Wesley Bell trounced Bush, 51.2 to 45.6, according to the numbers up to the moment.

Now, in a usual race, you might expect the loser to concede graciously, thank their family and staff for all their hard work, and then sit down. But this is a member of The Squad, so you will get a slightly different response.

Bush’s remarks were unhinged, and quite frankly, threatening.

“All you did was take some of the strings off,” she declared, saying “Let’s be clear” several times. “All they did was radicalize me, so now they (unintelligible) afraid.”

It sounded like the word was muted but seemed to be saying they should be afraid of her.

“They about to see this other Cori, this other side,” she said. “AIPAC, I’m coming to tear your kingdom down!” she screamed.

That sure sounds like a threat, not to mention antisemitic. And everyone cheered.

Bush continued, “And let me put all of these corporations on notice: I’m coming after you too. But I’m not coming by myself. I’m coming with all the people that’s in here, that’s doing the work.”

Someone was waving a watermelon sign, which is a symbol of “Free Palestine” movement as Bush railed about the money she claimed was spent against her.

Bush took a shot at Bell, saying he would be taking over, “just before his trial starts.”

I think that’s a reference to the discrimination lawsuit that was delayed until Jan. 27, 2025.

Bush said she hoped Bell actually spoke to the Palestinian, Arab and Muslim communities. She arrogantly told him that was his “homework.”

This was a truly crazy rant, and her anger was something else. She thinks now she’s been freed do do what she wants. No, Cori, you lost whatever power you had, now you’re back to screaming on the streets. And so much for accepting the results of the election right, when you react like this and threaten people. Take the strings off? Were they ever on?

People had thoughts.
