As of last Thursday, R&B heartthrob Usher Raymond IV—known mononymously as Usher—has one fewer home in his real estate portfolio. According to property records, the performer sold his five-bedroom, four-bathroom Los Angeles home for $3.6 million. Though we don’t yet know who is behind the purchase, the two-story midcentury classic boasts three generations of starry lineage; it was once owned by Jared Leto as well as the London-born actor-model sisters Cara and Poppy Delevingne. Usher reportedly handed over $3.4 million to the siblings in 2022 for the 1955-built abode.

The Delevingnes gave AD an inside look at their shared dream home in 2019 after collaborating with architect Nicolò Bini to fashion its SoCal paradise atmosphere. “I wanted to create a true LA moment for them,” he told AD. Bini embedded “nods to California midcentury modern, Laurel Canyon bohemia, Beverly Hills swank, surfing culture, and a little Mexico”—as well as aesthetic references to the “Englishness” of the siblings—“to give the house another layer of Delevingne charm.” Highlights included an emerald-lacquered dining room, fabrics and wallpaper with banana-leaf and palm-frond prints, and a Mexican Talavera toilet and sink in the powder room.

According to a Realtor.com listing, the 4,021-square-foot dwelling now boasts an art studio, a game room, a bar, guest quarters, and of course—for Usher’s convenience—a studio. No telling if the entertainer kept the cheeky mirrored ceiling or the velvet-upholstered, club-like room off of Cara’s former bedroom suite (which featured a stripper pole and disco lighting). “I wanted to reclaim the concept of the bachelor pad and make it my own,” Cara told AD of her private quarters. The quintessentially LA abode also features a vine-covered roof, a pool and spa, a stone fire pit, and a grilling station.
