Hello and welcome to our live coverage of the 2024 US Open.

The last week of August only means one thing for tennis: the final Grand Slam of the year begins.

There is plenty of action to come on day one as a number of the world’s best players begin their campaigns — and they will hope to avoid slipping on any early potential banana skins.
