Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill told ESPN’s Lisa Salters that he has a torn ligament in his wrist. He is listed as active and is expected to play through the injury tonight in the team’s “Monday Night Football” matchup against the Los Angeles Rams.
Hill did not participate in team practices on Friday and Saturday but was not listed on the injury report Thursday. He was seen on the field Monday evening with tape on both wrists during pregame warmups.
Hill, 30, remains one of the most important players for the Dolphins. His 446 receiving yards, 13.1 yards per reception and 56 targets lead all Miami players, while his 34 receptions lead all Miami wide receivers through eight games. Despite playing just two-and-a-half seasons with the Dolphins, Hill’s 3,955 receiving yards and 272 receptions already rank 10th and 13th all-time, respectively, in Dolphins franchise history.
As the Dolphins’ leading receiver each of the last three seasons, Hill’s numbers have taken a hit with quarterback Tua Tagovailoa missing four games. Hill’s 8.0 yards per target and 8.0 yards before contact per reception in 2024 are both his lowest marks since his final season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2021, while his 12.7 average depth of target is at its highest since 2020. Hill’s one drop through the first eight games of the season is also his fewest over that span since 2020.
