Donald Trump is pumped up by the Supreme Court’s major decision handed down Monday which ruled 6-3 that a president does have immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts. All three liberal judges dissented.

The ruling is a blow to Special Counsel Jack Smith’s cases against the former president.

Trump took to Truth Social to celebrate what he sees as a huge win and also to blast Joe Biden for weaponizing the justice system against his political opponents. Around 11 a.m., he posted:

BIG WIN FOR OUR CONSTITUTION AND DEMOCRACY. PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN

At noon, he had more to say:

Today’s Historic Decision by the Supreme Court should end all of Crooked Joe Biden’s Witch Hunts against me, including the New York Hoaxes – The Manhattan SCAM cooked up by Soros backed D.A., Alvin Bragg, Racist New York Attorney General Tish James’ shameless ATTACK on the amazing business that I have built, and the FAKE Bergdorf’s “case.” PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!

Still feeling good, he added one more an hour later:

The Supreme Court totally dismantled most of the charges against me. Joe Biden should now call off his “dogs.” Our Country should now be focused on GREATNESS again!

Normally, I would embed such posts in the story, but they are not currently populating; it’s unclear if Truth Social is having technical issues or is seeing huge traffic. Nevertheless, you can see the posts using the links above.

The SCOTUS decision—which Democrats are already freaking out over—is likely to be discussed and analyzed for years.

Democrats Rip the Mask Off, Call for Violence After Thinking the SCOTUS Decisions Gave Them ‘King Biden’ (VIP)

RedState’s Susie Moore explains the importance of the decision:

In a 6-3 ruling, the Court held that a former president has absolute immunity for his core constitutional powers. Further, former presidents are also entitled to at least a presumption of immunity for their official acts. However, there is no immunity for unofficial acts.

Chief Justice John Roberts, writing for the Court, laid out the holding, one that is likely to confound those on both/all sides of the issue, at least to some degree. In sending the case back to the lower courts to determine which of the acts in question are “official” versus “unofficial.”

Republican leaders joined with Trump in lauding the court’s conclusion, with House Speaker Mike Johnson calling it a “victory for former President Trump and all future presidents and another defeat for President Biden’s weaponized Department of Justice and Jack Smith.”

Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall said it protects future presidents and their ability to do the job:

Democrats, as I mentioned, are already unhinged, and we’re starting to see more crazed reactions like this one from AOC:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) announced Monday that she will soon file impeachment articles against at least one justice on the Supreme Court in the wake of their decision to grant partial immunity to former President Trump as he faces felony charges for his efforts to overturn the 2020 election results.

Ocasio-Cortez, a prominent liberal on the House Oversight Committee, said the ruling belies a central premise of America’s constitutional design — namely, that no one is above the law — and threatens to put the country on a path to tyranny.

It’s unclear what Jack Smith’s next move will be, but one can only assume he’s having a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day—which is a good thing for those of us who believe that Merrick Garland and Co. are using the Justice Department as a dangerous, un-American political weapon.
