Husband and wife team Travis and Emma Smith have opened Harcourts Drysdale on the Bellarine Peninsula, bringing their local expertise to the brand.

The Announcement:

Husband and wife team Travis and Emma Smith have opened Harcourts Drysdale, situated in Bellarine where they have lived for many years.

“We have been living on the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula for nearly 20 years,” Ms Smith said.

“The last house was the longest I had lived anywhere my entire life – that was 16 years!”

The couple are deeply integrated with the local community through Portarlington, where Mr Smith was on the School Council and RSL, while Ms Smith served on the Kindergarten Committee and is Treasurer of Bellarine Adult Riding Club.

“We literally live the lifestyle that we are selling!” Ms Smith said.

With their growing sales team, they decided to align with a main brand, and Harcourts immediately struck a chord.

“When we were first investigating various franchises, we had an initial conversation with Tina Ashton, Chief Growth Officer at Harcourts,” Ms Smith said.

“At the end of the call, she asked ‘Is there anything that you need from me?’ That straight away aligned with our own philosophy.”

Mr Smith started in real estate in 2005, working for a Geelong agency before branching out to the coastal lifestyle market.

Ms Smith’s background is in customer service and administration, with an in-depth knowledge of market trends and property values in the Bellarine Peninsula.

The couple are joined by three local team members – Gurpreet, Cassie in reception, and Rebecca in Property Management.

Harcourts Victoria Acting CEO Adam Fiteni welcomed the new office to the network.

“Travis and Emma are ambitious leaders who have a proven track record as influential agents in the Bellarine market,” Mr Fiteni said.

“They are passionate about creating an incredible environment to support the growth of agents that join their team.

“It is a great compliment to our group that they have chosen to partner with us. We look forward to celebrating their success together.”
