Arne Slot insists he’s relaxed about Liverpool’s lack of activity in the transfer market as he expects business to happen later in the window.
The Dutchman has yet to make the first signing of his Anfield reign but remains in regular dialogue with sporting director Richard Hughes.
Asked about transfers, Slot said: “The first aim is to work with these players. Of course, it’s a disadvantage that many of them aren’t here yet (due to Euro 2024 and Copa America).
“The positive about that is that it’s an ideal way to see the younger players and give them playing time. The standards are really high when it comes to bringing in new players because we have such a good squad. Of course, Richard Hughes and I are trying to improve the squad where possible but that’s not that easy.”
