Toyota suspends RAV4 production following plant explosion

An explosion at a facility run by one of Toyota’s affiliated suppliers has caused the OEM to suspend production at two factories in Japan. By Will Girling

Toyota has suspended work on three lines at two factories in Aichi Prefecture, according to a 9 March 2025 article by The Japan Times. Citing a “company official”, the publication reported that an explosion and subsequent fire at the plant of Chuo Spring, a Toyota affiliated supplier, precipitated the automaker’s decision.
