It feels a long, long time ago that Tottenham were squandering a two-goal lead away against Brighton, so here is a refresher of the Premier League table for anyone who needs it, starting with the top half.

Spurs are clinging on to a place in that top half by a fingernail, while it is Liverpool setting the pace, narrowly ahead of fellow title favourites Manchester City and Arsenal at the top.

Good starts to the season, too, for Chelsea, Brighton, and Nottingham Forest.
