A group of six males were arrested Saturday in San Bernardino County after surveillance cameras at a retail outlet captured the suspects walking out with more than $1,000 in stolen merchandise, officials announced Monday.

Details are limited and it’s unclear exactly where or what time the suspects were captured on video during the theft, but officers with the Upland Police Department responded to the area on reports of the incident.

In vehicle and police body-worn camera footage released by police, officers can be seen pulling over the crew in what appears to be a dark-colored SUV.

Police can be seen searching the vehicle as the six suspects, handcuffed and seated on the side of the road, look on.

Nearly a dozen boxes of shoes, many of them Nikes, were recovered along with several items of clothing and a fake gun inside the vehicle, which was ultimately towed and impounded.

Each of the suspects was booked into the San Bernardino County Jail and face charges of conspiring to commit organized retail theft, police said in a post to X, formerly Twitter.

Authorities also noted that at least a few of the suspects had existing warrants at the time of the alleged theft.
