The People Handling Mail-In Ballots Call Trump an 'Existential Threat.' What Could Possibly Go Wrong?

The closer we get to election day, and as Kamala Harris’s poll numbers get worse, the left is getting more and more desperate to try to stop Donald Trump from being reelected any way they can. The current most popular form of that desperation comes in the not-so-veiled calls by even Biden-Harris cabinet members for harm to come to Trump. But just when we thought we might have any voting by mail “irregularities” under control, the people who facilitate that process may have joined in on the left’s twisted fun.

In the crucial swing state of Georgia, individual letter carriers who are members of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) union, received a letter that appears to be signed by Georgia NALC President Don Griggs, which says in part:

“If Donald Trump wins the upcoming election, it could prove an existential threat to our union and our contract. Your vote matters: consider how the consequences could affect you, your job, and our union when deciding how to vote.”

As an extra added bonus, the letter includes dire admonitions that Trump would implement Project 2025 proposals if elected. The former president has repeatedly said he has nothing to do with the project and has no such plans.

“Donald Trump and his allies have put together an extensive plan for the next year, if he takes office and appoints anti-union allies throughout the executive branch,” the letter reads. “Our union cannot afford to risk the proposals in Project 2025 becoming a reality.”

The letter then goes on to lay out the scare tactics to members, claiming that Project 2025 will:

“…ban all public employee unions and replace private-sector unions with company-controlled unions,” “let states opt out of federal overtime and minimum wage” requirements, and repeal the Davis-Bacon Act, which places wage requirements on government projects.

Georgia Union President Griggs says he knew nothing about the letter until he heard others talking about it. He said, “When people were calling me about it, I had no idea what they were talking about.” He went on to say that he also received a copy of it a few days later. But just one problem, the letter did not go out to union members from Griggs, it came from the national union, and better yet, had signed Grigg’s name to it without his permission. Griggs said of the letter and the hijacking of his signature by the union:

“They told me they were going to send me some information as we got closer to the election, and I had no idea they were sending out a letter with my name. I never would have sent anything out like that. I didn’t have a problem with them sending out something to the membership, but as far as attaching my name to it without my permission, that was a different story. They were trying to get a message out.”

So, who was sending out the message? Well, the NALC is affiliated with the AFL-CIO, who endorsed Kamala Harris back in July. However, many state election officials have already sounded the alarm about the U.S. mail system, and how ongoing issues could wreak havoc on the 2024 presidential election. Things like mailed ballots that were postmarked on time that local election offices did not receive until after deadlines had passed. Also, ballots that were properly addressed came back as undeliverable, something that could create a big problem for voters, declaring them inactive if they then went to vote in person after not receiving a mail-in ballot.

But there is an even bigger problem here. Several Democrats and the left in general have been using some extremely incendiary language about Donald Trump, and they have been doing it even though there was a second attempt on his life just ten days ago. Isn’t using the phrase “existential threat” just adding gas to the fire? In this environment, it’s fair to ask if it is being done on purpose. There seems to be no letup and no thought to just how dangerous it is.

Currently, in Georgia, Trump is ahead of Harris by 2.1 points, 48.4 to 46.3. Desperation is clearly setting in.
