The Left's Emotional Support Social Media Site Bluesky Is Going About As Well As You Might Expect

Last week, I reported that the left was abandoning the X platform in favor of the left-leaning Twitter knock-off, Bluesky. I also made an easy prediction; that it would devolve into an over-censored mess of bubbled rage and ideological rigidity.

And it looks like I’m already being proven right.

A new account has popped up on X called “LibsofBluesky” which has begun documenting all the wacky things the left is doing over at their new platform, and true to form, the occupants spend a lot of time cursing X, cursing Trump, cursing you, and of course, attacking each other. Like shaken bugs in a jar, the left are lashing out at whoever and whatever makes them angry, and when everything and everyone makes you angry, lashing out is normalcy.

For instance, on the 15th, LibsfBluesky posted an update from Bluesky’s safety account stating that it received over 42,000 reports for harmful content in 24 hours, coming out to 3,000 reports an hour.

They’re so intent on making sure their little bubbles stay intact that they’re mass blocking people without warning, and oftentimes without double-checking who they’re blocking first. People are subscribing to badly made block lists, shutting off others so no one can hear or see them.

Of course, this kind of behavior is being encouraged. Here’s Rick Wilson telling people to “block early, on their first offense, without explanation.”

How rigid is Bluesky in terms of what you can and can’t say? End Wokeness did a little experiment. He posted “there are only two genders,” and within seconds he was banned.

What can you say? Anything against Trump or Elon Musk, and you’ll find they like to say it like a gaggle of NPCs would, in the exact same way.

I anticipate that we’ll probably see many people who proudly left X for Bluesky return to X within a month. They will have either realized that ideological uniformity is actually really boring and that ideological rigidity is more frustrating than they think, or they’ll be banned for some minor offense they didn’t even know was offensive.

They should understand that this is what they wanted, though. They wanted this paradise where the left truly ruled the roost and their supremacy couldn’t be questioned, and when I say “can’t be questioned,” I mean by anyone, not even the left. If someone on the victimhood hierarchy proclaims something is offensive, there’s nothing anyone can do about it on the left except bend the knee and take the whippings. There is no reasoning, and there is no complaining.

You will be made to fall in, or you will be ejected.

And as the site devolves, as all leftist sites do, into tyrannical rule-making and self-victimizing, Bluesky will watch its daily user base dwindle until it’s so miniscule it’s not worth remembering anymore, and as it does, X will see many a Bluesky user become an X user again.

The question is, will they have learned their lesson about the importance of a free market of ideas and free speech?

Probably not.
