EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell said Tuesday that cornerback Terrion Arnold has cleared concussion protocol and will practice Tuesday. Arnold left practice early in a joint session with the New York Giants on Monday and was evaluated for a concussion.

During a red-zone period in the joint practice with the New York Giants, Arnold took on a block from Giants tackle Andrew Thomas. He was later spotted walking off the field with trainers prior to the end of practice. No further updates were provided by the team.

Arnold, a 2024 first-round pick selected No. 24, was drafted to help solidify one of the NFL’s worst passing defenses. Detroit ranked 27th in passing yards allowed per game, as the team’s secondary was an obvious weakness. Since his arrival, Arnold has been a mainstay in the starting lineup opposite of Carlton Davis III. He’s expected to start when the Lions open the season against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 1.
