Teddi Mellencamp has shared exactly what she needs to regarding her ongoing divorce from Edwin Arroyave — and has no plans to divulge much more than that.
Mellencamp, 43, and her former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Erika Jayne recently launched their “Diamonds in the Rough” podcast and much of the first episode recapped the Bravo hit save for a few updates on Mellencamp’s divorce. (In the Thursday, December 5, episode, Mellencamp said that she and Arroyave, 47, are “happy to be around one another.”)
“My response was gonna be like, ‘I’m not paid to be on a television show to do that anymore,’” Mellencamp exclusively told Us Weekly on Friday, December 6, at iHeartRadio’s Jingle Ball in Los Angeles, reacting to criticism that she’s not sharing enough with fans. “Erika was like, ‘You can’t say that. You’re in the public eye.’”
She added, “My response is to listen to the latest podcast of ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ and then you’re gonna hear as much as you probably need to hear or want to hear. I’m just not gonna share [much more], like, kids are involved.”

Mellencamp and Arroyave were married for more than a decade before separating this fall. The reality TV personality announced their divorce in November but listed in her divorce petition that she and Arroyave separated on October 20. Arroyave, meanwhile, claimed in his response that they split three weeks later.
“After a great deal of care and consideration, I have made the difficult decision to file for divorce,” Mellencamp wrote in her Instagram statement at the time. “My priority is my children and ensuring that every care is taken with their privacy and wellbeing throughout this new chapter.”

Mellencamp and Arroyave share three children: Slate, 12, Cruz, 10, and Dove, 4. (Arroyave is also father to daughter Isabella from a previous relationship.)
Mellencamp is now embracing her new chapter as a single mom.
“I think the biggest thing for me is just continuing to show … the good, the bad and the ugly,” she told Us on Friday. “[And] also try to find as much peace as I can, while also having fun and growing and working as hard as I can and being a good mom.”
Mellencamp, additionally, enjoyed working on her podcasts. In addition to “Diamonds in the Rough,” she cohosts “Two Ts in a Pod” with Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge.
“I kind of can’t believe it,” Mellencamp gushed on Friday. “It’s so much being ‘Two Ts,’ but also it’s really fun because I get to work with so many amazing women and have so many fun interviews. It’s just the constant ability to kind of step outside of what we were originally doing. It’s exciting.”
The iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour special airs on ABC Wednesday, December 18, at 8 p.m. ET and streams the next day on Hulu.
