Taylor Swift was briefly shown on the Jumbotron during the 2025 Super Bowl, eliciting a loud chorus of boos from Eagles fans.
Swift, 35, appeared confused at the time, turning to friend Ice Spice to ask, “What’s going on?” (The Kansas City Chiefs athletes were also booed when they entered the stadium.)
Swift’s friend Serena Williams quickly had the pop star’s back, taking her defense to X.
“I love you @taylorswift13,” Williams, 43, a noted Swiftie alongside daughter Olympia, wrote on Sunday. “Don’t listen to those booos!!”
Swift hit the big game with Ice Spice, 25, the Haim sisters, Ashley Avignone, as well as her parents and brother Austin. The crew watched the NFL championship from a private box at New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome in support of Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Swift, once again, stepped out in style, and donned a white blazer with matching over-the-knee boots alongside bedazzled shorts and a red “T” chain around her neck, which she originally wore hanging from her thigh to the Grammys earlier this month.
Swift has been dating Chiefs tight end Kelce, 35, since summer 2023. After taking their romance public that September, the Grammy winner has been a fixture at his NFL games. Camera focus on Swift often caused widespread fan criticism, though she always shook off the haters.
“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” Swift told TIME in December 2023. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”
She added, “I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and pissing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.”
While speaking to the outlet, Swift asserted that she is happy to sit on the sidelines and watch Kelce do his thing on the gridiron.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” Swift added. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
Ahead of the big game, Swift and Kelce stepped out for a double date with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, on Friday, February 9. The next night, she went out to dinner with her parents, the Haim sisters and Travis’ sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce. Jason and Kylie have also been spotted in the suite on Sunday.
