Seeing “instant” or “under five minutes” makes me instantly skeptical — pun intended — especially when it comes to hair products. Many make bold claims about “transformative powers” and “visible improvements” without the results to back them up. I’ve tried my fair share of hair treatments, serums and masks and while they make a fun […]

Glen Oropeza has worked with countless celebrities over the years, prepping their strands for major events, but his Instagram most often features Sweeney. Short and sleek or sultry and long, Oropeza creates effortlessly glam yet unfussy hairstyles for The White Lotus and Anyone But You actress using Kérastase products. The luxe haircare brand was established in Paris in 1964, and the Elixir Ultime Hydrating hair oil is one of its bestselling products. It tames frizz and increases shine, yet does not weigh hair down.

“If I’m using heat tools on Sydney’s hair, I’ll apply 1-2 pumps to her mid-lengths and ends before applying any heat,” Oropeza said about using Elixir Ultime on the star. “It not only protects against up to 450°F but also gives the hair gorgeous shine post-styling.” He adds that he’ll “often use it as a finishing touch on her hair to give it some added shine or to add some texture and separation for a more lived-in look.”

Oropeza points out that Kérastase Elixir Ultime is “an essential” for his job as a hairstylist “because it’s multi-use, lightweight and works for every hair type.”

“Beyond adding extreme shine to any style and protecting hair from heat and humidity, it’s also great for breaking down heavy-duty styling products, or as a treatment for in-between wash days due to its strengthening and hydrating benefits,” he says. “The uses are endless! My clients also love the scent, which is always a plus.”

Did you know that 50% of adult women will experience hair loss at some point in their life? The common (but not often talked about) phenomenon can be triggered by a variety of things — stress, pregnancy and even COVID-19. Alyssa Milano once got candid on X about her experience with hair loss after a […]

The fragrance, which shoppers say is lovely without being overpowering, has notes of heliotrope, freesia and sandalwood.

Formulated with camellia oil harvested in France for ultimate hair hydration, Elixir Ultime works to soften and strengthen strands. And Sweeney is not the only one who enjoys using the product — according to the brand, a bottle is sold every minute! From curly gals to those with finer strands, those who use it can’t help but write rave reviews.

“This gives a luxurious feel to the hair and smells amazing!” one happy shopper wrote. “Keeps it moisturized throughout the day and shiny. I’ve tried olaplex, VERB, and Moroccan oil and this is by far the best. I fear it is worth the price. Will repurchase. I have thin hair and the travel bottle will be more than enough for probably a year.”

“This is the best oil I’ve ever tried,” another review reads. “It doesn’t leave your hair feeling heavy or greasy, works great as a detangler and heat protectant.

If you’d like to see what the buzz is about, shop the golden oil starting at $30. Since only a few drops are needed, you could get away with buying the smallest size, which is both travel-friendly and will last a long time. However, if you fall in love, there are also bigger, refillable bottles for year-round shine and healthy hair. Get glowing!
