We all remember that Kamala Harris was a bad presidential candidate in the 2020 election cycle and that she failed to earn a single delegate before dropping out in December 2019.

Here’s what the New York Times wrote about her failure at the time: “She has proved to be an uneven campaigner who changes her message and tactics to little effect and has a staff torn into factions.” Cut to the present day, and Joe Biden has stepped down and basically handed her the Democratic nomination, so The Times is back to gaslighting us and trying to convince us she’s awesome. In 2019, though, they at least told the truth.

Even knowing all that, however, it’s easy to forget just how bad she was. Luckily, the internet is here to remind us.

On Sunday, X owner Elon Musk retweeted this gem of a post by a user called KanekoaTheGreat:

KanekoaTheGreat’s tweet continued:

She then hit a 28% approval rating, the lowest ever recorded for a Vice President—lower than Mike Pence, Dick Cheney, and Joe Biden.

The video is of a CNN panel reacting to the New York Times piece mentioned above:

The segment starts out with anchor Nia-Malika Henderson reading from a resignation letter turned in by a key Harris aide in November of 2019:

They [the New York Times] obtained the resignation letter of the Harris campaign State Operations Director, who is now joining the Bloomberg campaign. She wrote, “It is unacceptable that with less than 90 days until Iowa, we still do not have a real plan to win. Our campaign for the people is made up of diverse talent, which is being squandered by indecision and a lack of leaders who lead.”

[Turns to a co-anchor]: Molly, that is rough stuff.

Whoa. It certainly is.

Next up to remind us that Harris is a terrible politician was Time Magazine National Political Correspondent Molly Ball, who laid out what the real problem was: people don’t seem to like Kamala all that much:

It’s pretty much every voter that you meet on the campaign trail who goes to see her. And the common theme is people want to like her, and then she doesn’t close the deal.

She’s not able to articulate a consistent and compelling message that makes those voters who show up for her, who are interested in what she’s selling, that makes them decide, yes, this is the candidate I can commit to.

To show you just how much things have changed, this is the same Time Magazine that issued a nauseating cover earlier this month that reminded many of Soviet-style propaganda:

The video continues with the panel trashing Kamala’s past efforts, noting her “all over the place messaging” and her “vacillating” positions on issues. The thing is, Harris has not changed or magically improved, yet CNN, the New York Times, and their ilk are now trying to make us believe that she’s suddenly Abe Lincoln. If anything, she’s proven to be worse than she was in 2019 because now she’s got three and half years of cackling and zero accomplishments under her belt.

She showed us in her first campaign that she’s not up to the job, and the receipts are still there for voters willing to pay attention.
