On a stormy night in NYC, a mysterious object crashes into an apartment building, revealing a peculiar spider. This creature is discovered by Charlotte, a 12-year-old girl feeling isolated, as her parents are busy with their new baby. She secretly keeps the spider, Sting, as a pet. But as it grows monstrously large with a bloodthirsty appetite, neighbors and pets begin disappearing. The building’s residents soon realize they’re being hunted by a gigantic, flesh-eating arachnid, with only Charlotte knowing how to stop it.
