'Snowball Fight!': New Yorkers Excited by First Snow of Winter

New York City residents woke up to the first measurable snow of the year on Saturday, December 21 – the first day of winter – with more than two inches reported in some areas.

Local meteorologists said it was the largest amount of snow to fall in the city in December since 2020.
