Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) and his wife, Gwen, had a lot of people talking about a video that they posted on X on Sunday.

You know if it involves those two, it’s going to be a little weird.

Tim Walz posted it, writing, “Set those resolutions now, people.” It was about their difficulty in throwing out a box.

Tim said it was tough to throw out the box as “Gen Xers” and “late boomers” (she’s 59 and he’s 60).

Here’s a thought: You can throw out a box without making a video about it.

I think the purpose of the video was to seem relatable. But as with much of what Walz did during the campaign, it came off to many as weird or awkward — a little bit like Elizabeth Warren and the beer video.

Plus, it’s a bit too late to try to sell yourselves now when all we can see is the lady who wanted to keep the windows open to smell the burning tires in Minnesota during the BLM riots, not to mention the gesticulations and false backstories from Tim. You two were already rejected by the American people. So you’re not really winning over people at this juncture with anything like this.

Even some on the left chastised him for not “recycling” the box.

Commentator Scott Jennings put it bluntly.

“The fact that this absolute buffoon was Kamala Harris’s first major decision as ‘nominee’ really was the biggest red flag of all,” he observed. Indeed. Did they even vet him to find out all the false stories and the weirdness? Or did they just say we like that he’s left and he’s not going to antagonize the left as much as Josh Shapiro would?

The thing in the video that really set many off? Mounting the TV on the bookcase. What the heck? Some termed it “psychopath behavior.”

We truly dodged a bullet when President Donald Trump and JD Vance won.

If Kamala Harris and Tim Walz had won, the damage they would have done would have been immeasurable. We’ve already seen how bad it was under Joe Biden, and they would have continued along and gone even further down the leftist path.

So I’m glad that Walz has been reduced to posting silly videos on X for attention for people to laugh at. Far less harm to the country that way.

Can we ever forget Gwen Walz’s weird “turn the page” video? I’m glad that we have “turned the page” on Tim having national power.

In the words of former CNN reporter Chris Cillizza, the selection of Tim Walz as Kamala Harris’ running mate “was a dud.” That encapsulated it for most Americans.
