Leading local agent Samuel Paton has opened Ray White Marion, bringing his expertise to the Adelaide suburb.

The Announcement:

Adelaide’s real estate scene has just welcomed a formidable new business leader with the opening of Ray White Marion, led by Samuel Paton, a well-known leader in the Marion and Oaklands Park community.

Before delving into the world of property, Mr Paton had an extensive career in the Navy, where he spent many years travelling internationally and living in Sydney.

However, he and his wife were always set on returning to her hometown of Adelaide.

In 2016, he transitioned into real estate, joining Ray White and focusing on establishing himself in a new city with very few existing contacts.

“I was given Oaklands Park as my starting point and I hit the ground running – door knocking and making so many calls all day, every day,” Mr Paton said.

“It was crucial to build relationships and trust in the community.”

His relentless work ethic quickly paid off, and he became the leading agent in Oaklands Park, soon extending his success to the Marion area.

Eight years into his real estate career, Mr Paton holds an impressive 45 per cent market share in Marion.

His rapid rise and continued success are a reflection of his strong local knowledge and unwavering commitment.

“The Ray White network is like a family. The camaraderie among Adelaide principals and the corporate support we receive are unparalleled,” he said.

“Their marketing, training, and technology have evolved significantly, allowing me to work efficiently and spend more quality time with my family.”

With four young children under the age of five, using technology to maintain a work-life balance is essential.

Mr Paton’s deep connection with the local community is evident.

“The areas of Marion and Oaklands Park are constantly growing and changing,” he said.

“Oaklands Park is a multicultural area with an even mix of investors and owner-occupiers. It’s more affordable compared to the neighbouring beachside suburbs and is close to major amenities like shopping centres, hospitals, and universities.

“Marion has excellent schools and family homes, with many established residents who are deeply rooted.”

Mr Paton attributes his success to his disciplined approach, honed during his Navy career.

“I focus on creating competition for our listings and driving interest through structured follow-ups,” he said.

“My aim is to convert inspectees into bidders, which is reflected in our high auction clearance rates.”

As Ray White Marion opens its doors, Mr Paton’s goals for the first year are clear.

“We want to continue listing and selling properties while maintaining our strong relationships with clients. Our team is small and highly skilled, and we’re committed to delivering the best outcomes for our community while preserving a healthy work-life balance.”

Ray White South Australia and Northern Territory CEO Matt Lindblom said that he was thrilled to see another exceptional agent grow their career into becoming a business leader.

“Samuel’s new venture with Ray White Marion will see continued dedication to customer service and results for his clients in Adelaide’s real estate market, continuing Samuel’s legacy of success and community engagement,” Mr Lindblom said.

“We are proud to have watched Samuel’s career grow and develop, entirely within our Ray White network.

“His team will also grow in time as aspiring agents choose to work alongside a high performing agent to learn from one of the best in the business.”
