Ray White Lower North Shore has enhanced its Chinese connection, with a new full-service desk led by Sabrina Gao.
Ms Gao has been instrumental in establishing the China desk, on the back of her deep understanding of the unique needs and preferences of Chinese buyers and sellers.
She is fluent in both Mandarin and English and has quickly become a key player in the Mosman area.
The China desk offers a comprehensive service, utilising popular Chinese platforms like WeChat, RedBook (China’s Instagram for millennials), and collaborating with TikTok influencers.
According to the office’s database, 30 per cent of buyers looking at properties over $10 million in Mosman are Chinese.
“This is a pivotal reason why we established the China Desk,” Ms Gao said.
“I have been instrumental in connecting these high-net-worth clients with their dream homes.”
Ms Gao moved to Sydney in 2008 from Jiangxi, China, to study conference interpreting and worked as an interpreter for major international conferences and within the court system.
Nearly nine years ago, during maternity leave after the birth of her daughter, she transitioned into real estate, after initially managing Airbnbs.
Ms Gao’s expertise as a Chinese specialist sets her apart from other agents, offering a fresh, youthful perspective combined with a deep cultural understanding.
Within her first year at Ray White Lower North Shore, she found success, including selling 3 Pursell Ave, Mosman for $19 million in her third week, and not long after she negotiated another sale for more than $19 million.
She said there was a lot of interest from Chinese buyers currently.
“The high end market is very active at the moment,” she said.
“I am here as a trusted advisor, for me it is not about the transaction.
“Luxury is not a price point; it is a level of service.”
Ms Gao said she has fallen in love with Mosman, appreciating its family-friendly lifestyle beyond its famous zoo.
As a resident of the Lower North Shore, she passionately promotes the area’s vibrant community and stunning waterside landscape to potential buyers, ensuring they understand the true essence of living in the special harbour side enclave.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Ms Gao finds inspiration in creative outlets such as painting and music.
“I have been playing piano since childhood, and I connect with people on a deeper level through the joy of music,” she said.
Principal of Ray White Lower North Shore, Richard Harding, said Ms Gao was their “secret weapon”.
“She is a fully-fledged agent, a great negotiator and she has a heart of gold,” Mr Harding said.
“Her extensive knowledge, bilingual communication skills, and commitment to excellence make her an invaluable asset to our whole team.
“For many years, she has been working with high net-worth international and local Asian clients, granting her an in-depth understanding of their unique mindsets and preferences.”
