Democrats in deep blue states are already drawing up plans to thwart President-elect Donald Trump’s attempts to fix illegal immigration in America.
The plan? Simply refusing to enforce the law, according to a New York Times report published on Saturday.
The Times notes that the resistance party is seeking to pivot away from silly protests involving “pink knit caps and homemade signs” and instead will “tune out” the new President when he enters the Oval Office.
“As they face this tough political landscape, Democratic officials, activists and ambitious politicians are seeking to build their second wave of opposition to Mr. Trump from the places that they still control: deep-blue states,” they write.
In these liberal enclaves – the last bastions of liberalism left behind in a red-wave election that wholly rejected their policies – prominent Democrat officials are planning to ignore various federal laws or codify new ones into their own state laws.
“Democrats envision flexing their power in these states to partly block the Trump administration’s policies — for example, by refusing to enforce immigration laws — and to push forward their vision of governance by passing state laws enshrining abortion rights, funding paid leave and putting in place a laundry list of other party priorities,” writes the Times.

Screwing blue states up even more, yeah, that’ll show Trump. https://t.co/1V9NFAyfrW

Deep-blue states are already sanctuaries for illegal immigrants which, by definition means they are already ignoring immigration law to the detriment of their citizens.
But seeing the Times put it down in print is something of an admission that these Democrat cesspools champion lawlessness, writing opposing legislation to counter federal immigration law and defying the sovereignty of this great nation.
This desire to break free from law-abiding states to establish independent laws and protect institutions of criminality hasn’t been seen since the Civil War.
The Times notes that these new resistance plans have been in the works since before the election, a contingency effort just in case Trump won. And in a direct rebuke to their causes, Trump won. Handily.
“The preparations were largely kept quiet to avoid projecting public doubts about Democrats’ ability to win the election,” the report reads.
That, and if the public anticipated Democrats were planning to ignore one of their top election concerns – rampant illegal immigration and the subsequent crime it brings to their streets – Kamala Harris no doubt would have secured even fewer votes.
If you plan to ignore it under Trump, it means you were ignoring it under Biden. Voters pick up on those subtleties. They didn’t want four more years of that.
The Times report adds that Democrats in these blue states have already recruited “hundreds of lawyers” to “combat Trump administration policies on a range of Democratic priorities.”
And they’re already hunting down plaintiffs “to challenge expected regulations, laws and administrative actions starting on Day 1.”
If ever there were an admission that it’s not doing what is right that is the concern here but rather, fighting the man in office, then it’s randomly finding people they assume will be affected most by the new administration. Ambulance chasing, in effect.
Once the election passed, some of these deep-blue state warriors revealed the previously hushed plans with public statements declaring war on the incoming President and his administration.
Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey (D) immediately drew a line in the sand on potential mass deportations under a Trump administration, vowing to invoke “executive powers” to protect the state’s “citizens” and “residents.”

Illegal aliens, of course, are not ‘citizens by any stretch of the imagination … unless you’re already ignoring immigration law in the first place.
New York Governor Kathy Hochul initiated the Empire State Freedom Initiative to combat policy threats from the Trump administration, including on immigration issues. She made the announcement at a bizarre press conference in which she and Attorney General Letitia James vowed to be warriors in the fight to stop what the American people just voted for.

California Governor Gavin Newsom, as RedState Editor Jennifer Van Laar so gently put it, “doubled down on stupid” after the election with a proclamation convening a special session of the California Legislature.
The session is designed to “safeguard California values and fundamental rights in the face of an incoming Trump administration” by “bolstering California legal resources to protect civil rights, reproductive freedom, climate action, and immigrant families.”

And rounding out the quadrumvirate of lawlessness was Illinois Governor JB Pritzker (D), who threatened the Presdient-elect, “You come for my people, you come through me.”
Why is it that when they refer to ‘their people’ they’re more often than not referring to illegals and criminals?

Incidentally, Pritzker uses the same line about ‘coming through me’ when he’s defending his position at the line at the Red Apple Buffet in Chicago.
The NYT reveals sources indicating Democrats plan to ignore immigration law once Trump is in office. Several governors come forth to state that plan in black-and-white terms. The party of lawlessness is thus confirmed.
Still, the report points out that, “At the federal level, Democrats will have little ability to pass laws or stop Mr. Trump’s agenda.”
Instead, they’ll just bury their own states even further, transforming them into crime-infested sewers. If they weren’t already.
